Inspired by glasses from the Cutler and Gross archive, originally found at the Laurence Corner Army Surplus Store on London’s Drummond Street in the 70s. A staple of the British Fashion scene, the store was favoured as the source of inspiration for top designers, musicians and artists for over 50 years.
Adopted as an urban fashion icon in the 60s and early 70s, the ‘GI’ frame was utilitarian and well built. The 1393 is the perfect square sunglass with lowered hinges, nodding to its practical use in the past

Returns & Exchanges
At Chakshu London we offer a 14-day return or exchange policy from the date you receive your order. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. If you were eligible for free delivery, a £10 delivery fee will be deducted from your refund.
Prescription lenses are non-refundable, you will only be refunded the frame price if you wish to return a prescription pair of glasses.

- Delivery within 1-3 working days, with Royal Mail Tracked and Signed service or DHL.
- Free next day UK delivery available on certain products, if ordered before 1PM GMT Monday - Friday.
SHIPPING TO THE REST OF THE WORLD:
- A £15.00 shipping charge is applied
- Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed service used
- Delivery within 10-21 working days, depending on location.
Prescription glasses orders will be dispatched within 3-5 working days, however more complicated prescription glasses orders can take up to 10 days to dispatch.
